Nursery-grown coral fragments need a stable place to attach while they establish. PopStar is a flat-pack frame that restoration teams can assemble in the field, place underwater, and monitor after deployment.

Weight compares a roughly 1.5 kg PopStar with an 8-8.5 kg coated-steel restoration frame. The first-pass material-carbon estimate compares roughly 7-8 kgCO2e with 13-19 kgCO2e per unit. Estimates will be refined as the design and supply chain develop.
